As most of you know, many problem vehicles enter your shop
which are seemingly unfixable.
You follow the shop manual step-by-step and you end up back at the beginning.
You call your shop foreman to act as justice of the peace and proclaim,
"WITH THESE KEYS I THEE WED!" Your foreman replies,
"You may now kiss this &%@#!$ car!"
All right, that might be a little extreme. You have been
there
and know exactly what I'm talking about. Your next step is to call tech support.
Here again we ALL know how that turns out.
"Did you BLAH BLAH BLAH, BLAH BLAH BLAH. Ok then try
BLAH BLAH BLAH. If that doesn't work then be sure to let us know what you
find."
Yea, Right!!
So, after thinking about this for all these years, I decided
to come up with a way for
all the techs to communicate with each other. There are several reasons for
this:
You are, after all, the person who repairs the vehicle.
With or without help, YOU make the
repair.
Where do most tsb's come from? Yes, YOU! Submit
any information on a repair and out they come with
a service bulletin. Yes they are great to have.
Why not be able to have access to this info
before
they have enough gathered to publish
it?
With your help, we can make this the closest
to
real-time data-base available
anywhere.
The only way this will work is with your
participation.
When you make a repair, or find something unusual, come to this site and post
it.
Have a time saving procedure for doing a repair, POST IT!
This site is called TECHS-4-TECHS for that reason. If we help
each other
by posting these things, very soon it will make all our jobs that much easier.
And don't forget that it might help you make more money.
Be sure to tell all your friends so we can get as much input as possible.
This site is not limited to Auto Technicians. All Techs are invited.
